URGENT LEGISLATIVE ALERT

Bill to Expand Use of Historical Vehicles Introduced in Ohio

Legislation (H.B. 350) has been introduced in Ohio that would amend the state’s current law defining historical motor vehicles to permit use of these vehicles on public roads to and from a location where maintenance is performed.  Under current Ohio law, a “historical motor vehicle" is any motor vehicle that is more than twenty-five years old and owned solely as a collector's item and for participation in club activities, exhibitions, tours, parades, and similar uses, but not for general transportation.

We Urge You to Contact the House Transportation, Public Safety and Homeland Security Committee (List Below) Immediately To Request Support for H.B. 350
• H.B. 350will give Ohio motorists the opportunity to have their historical vehicles serviced or repaired without the threat of being cited by law enforcement for violation of the Motor Vehicle Code.

DON’T DELAY!  Please contact members of the Ohio House Transportation, Public Safety and Homeland Security Committee immediately to request their support for H.B. 350.

Please e-mail a copy of your letter to Steve McDonald at stevem@sema.org.  Also, please forward this Alert to your fellow car enthusiasts.  Urge them to join the SAN and help defend the hobby! Thank you for your assistance.

What a terrible outlook for historical vehicles.
Love building rat rods, driving mustangs, and building websites.
