screw up
« on: December 27, 2013, 08:21:47 AM »
last night I put all 4 tires and wheels on now I have a roller . let it off the jack stands and everything tilted to the drives side . then I thinking what the hell did I do now something very wrong . after looking at it for 30 min I said the hell with it I will just start over . came down this morning and looked at it some more . walking a round it pushed on the back end and as it rolled back it leveled right out . It would seem I for got to remove the blocking I had under 1 side of the frame . dumb shit  :(

So with the block removed now is it level? I know that feeling. I was doing my rat rod and was in a rush to get the shock brackets built and install the shocks. I made all my measurements with the frame on the ground, when i jacked up the frame, i have a suicide suspension and put jack stand there. Went to install the shocks, found my shock towers were 3" to high, so i cut everything apart, welded back together, installed shocks, set truck on ground. Shocks bottomed out. Realized after looking at what i did, that i measured with the truck sitting on the ground, not in the air. Had to readd the 3"........silly me.

I assure you both, there have been many mistakes made around my playground.
Sometimes the best fix to a problem is to just let it sit for awhile.
