I'd like to put something on the bed to make rails. Maybe just some iron with speed holes?

Oe of my obstacles is getting the rear down! I want my cake and eat it too I guess. It's rear end ride height right now and the previous owner made the bed to bisect the inner tire.  So I'd like to bag the rear like the front but I think it's only gonna go down 4-6"  without modifying the bed or wheel opening. I also want to tow with it later this yr.

The rake is really cool - I'd leave the rear as is.

Raising the bed 3" defeats the purpose IMO

I made the boog bug to set on the rear tires when my bags are flat. I raise it a couple of inches to drive it. people only see it when it's flat at shows and nobody cares when I'm driving it. Ride gets rough if I really pump it up but if your towing you'll want clearance and nothing rides good towing anything LOL

Picked up a 12v cummins today... This wk I'll be getting trans then mocking up in engine bay... I'll most likely have to move firewall back 4.5" but oh well suck is life... My tie rod that is a rear steer probably needs to be moved out of the way to front steer. I wonder if I can just flip steering knuckles and move to the front? I'm fairy confident that my front airbags will support the 900 lb engine (at lens from my readings it will). Some  recent pics

You can segthe steer tie rod behind the axle ( which might be a clearance issue).. I can either move in front or fab a new one with a sump for clearance.

Looking really good and glad you got your 12v cummins. That tie rod set up, I think I would leave it there and either heat up and bend the steering arms down. The bracket your tie rods connect too.

I'd raise the box so the body lines match up but that being said it's cool.

Had not planned on raising the bed, however I have a cool fix for the "addition" to the bed to match the cab body lines...
