40 Ford Pick Up build progress
« on: February 09, 2014, 04:21:26 PM »
Here are some pics of the progress of my 40 Ford pick up build. The chop is done, the engine and trans are lined up and I'm now mocking up the interior.  The grille is a 35 truck. Does anyone think it needs a chop? I like it but just on the fence if I should just leave it. I figure it was good enough on a stock truck so why should I cut it? Maybe the fact that the cab was lowered 3 1/2" oh well!

Do you mean,
does the grill need a chop?
Does look kinda big in the photo could it be a big truck (1 1/2 ton truck) grill?

Oh, I get it now - does the GRILL need a chop.
Regarding grills, isn't that called "sectioning" when you take a horizontal slice out of the middle?

Have you thought about tipping the grill shell back a little bit? Lean it towards the motor?

Ya It may be the way I took the picture. I was squatting and shot it but I may lower it 1/2" and lean it back just a bit. I hate to section it and spend the time doing that if it really doesn't need it. I will lower and lean it and post another pic it it. And this Tim I hoe it will not be horizontal ha ha!
