A friend posted this tidbit. And I thought that it was worthy to borrow and post:

If anybody has ever had a problem finding a Spanner wrench ( for adjusting coil-over shocks at the bottom ) , here's a tip: go to a pawn shop & buy a pair of machinist measuring Calipers. Now it depends on the diameter of the adjustment ring at the bttm of your shocks , as to the size you ll need . Usually a pair of 2" - 3" ones will fit the spin ring perfectly , for most shocks . With the adjustable thimble on the Calipers, it allows you to bring in the pin to tighten them up on the shock perfectly , & raise or lower the shock . These are stronger than the usual spanner wrenches, so they will last almost forever, & the 1" play of the Calipers pins allows you to be able to accommodate most shock sizes. The pawn shop will sell you a pair in expensively, so you don't use those $500 Browne & Sharpes that you need for actual measuring , lol .
