Does anyone have any ideas on how to lift a truck cab up? I need to move mine off the trailer so I can start working on it.im thinking ill make some casters with wheels so I can roll it around easy once I get it off the trailer.
Right now I have it sitting like this

I have a cherry picker maybe I can hook it on that and move it

a few options for ya i see trees and the rachet strap doors closed thru cab up to tree option two a long 2x4 a buddy and some blocks keep lifting each corner and adding blocks till you can get a cart under it then reverse. a floor jack will work as well. a local wreacker will lift it for a fee and set it were you want it. roof trusses and a strap. saw horses and some 4x4s to pull the trailer out. just giver a good push and fix what happens (thats my favorite way) hope some of these help.

Overhead pulley, or slide it onto a "cart" or anything with wheels you can move it around with, sometimes a regular dolly will handle it. I have used a rolling square metal framed cart from a nursery, worked real well.

Thanks for the replies guys.I think im going to "try" to roll the cart in the building and use a 2x4 over the rafters with a come alone.hook the cab up thru the doors and see if I/come alone has enought strenght to pick it off the trailer.

That will hold the weight......If two people can move the cab i just picked up, those will definitely support your cab........If i lived closer, i would have just swung over and helped ya.....but nooooooooo, i live in the wintery wonderland of wyoming.

might pull the doors off first to make it lighter, mark them "driver", "other" first if ya need to, that way you know where they go.

Oh come on, I was just kidd'n. :D

That really sucks. The back along with the knees always take some type of beating. Hope that it is nothing more that a strain.
Take care of it. Did you apply any heat to the area? along with an antiflamitory ?
