rusty color

Im picking up this 55 chevy bed sunday.how can I get the color to match my 50 international cab which is a gray color?

Your almost gonna have to use a brown primer, then gray paint. Hand sand in your patina.

Do I need to remove all the pink and rust off the bed then primer brown.then take some 80 grip so the sand scratchs show up good

80 sound s a bit course i think that you need to use something around 180 or 220 wet sanding the pink and i would leave the rust just sand it lightly then itll be easier to find after the gray is applied

Why try to match it?  Let it show it's diverse history and character. Some of the best rats have mis-matched body panels. Like this one:

they make a product called liquide mask get it from the paint store brush it over the rust or anything you want to keep do your paint then power wash it will come rite back of reveling what you covered.
