Mess-free valve adjusting
« on: April 28, 2014, 02:14:18 AM »
Here's a trick to adjust your valves with the engine running without blowing oil all over your engine, headers, floor, etc.  Cut the tops out of an old pair of valve covers to provide access to rockers, start the engine and adjust!

I used to do that with chevy's and always wished I could do that on one of my fuel injected 5.0 mustangs. The damn intake sits right over the valve cover.

Yeah, doesn't work with lots of newer engines, like LS models with coil packs on the valve covers.
