random shop metal work

this is just some of the random styles of metal work i do all the time in my shop.thought some might enjoy. i will update this as i do more interesting things

On the next to last picture , part of the metal has a textured look  , what is that ?

i dont know what it is called but it is textured. it is a visor for a 53 chevy truck. he brought me the visor as it is minus the louvers. i can see if i can dig up what it is called

to do the cross hatching, i use a tipping die for the upper wheel and nylon skate board wheel for the lower, with medium pressure. if i remember i will make a you tube video of me doing it when i get back to the shop.

That would be awesome , I just had some dies made for my roller  to make model A patch panels ( the lower panels with the bead )

very nice!! i jusy had a guy challenge me to make some 30-31 cowl panels like the ones i make for 28-29 so i guess i will be posting those too lol

I wish you would post up all the stuff  you build , that's how I get a lot of  ideas  ! Not to say I would copy exactly .. well you know what I mean . All great ideas are sparked by something .

over the past couple days i punched 136 louvers in a mustang hood, cut and dimpled 2in holes in a 31 model a visor, and made a transmission cover for a 49 chevy truck
