Thought I'd move this to here since it's no longer an idea but a build. Been doing some chopping.  That 1st cut was agonizing but I go through it . Haha. Starting to look like a RAT. :P :P :P

I know not a lot of camaro guys are going to be happy but , I've seen a LOT of traditional camaros, i mean a LOT, and after a LOT of money pit projects i couldn't finish, had to sell because of i spent so much $$$$ and then couldn't drive,i decided to go a different  route , go with my ratty gut and try spending the LEAST AMOUNT of $$$ as i could. Only using my brain and what i had around the garage , yard or scavenge from the neighboring junk yard. Besides i want to piss off a few trailer queens! !!!!!!!!!!!!LMAO

That Camaro is destined to be reincarnated as something unique.

I've long thought that pissing off purists is one of the most noble purposes of a rat rod.

Hey guys need to pick your brains, Im having a difficult time deciding what tire width to put on this thing. 215 65 r14 like i have now all around or narrow in front with wider in the back or narrow all around with the back tucked inside of the fenders. Please give me some ideas.

Tire size is just gonna depend on what you can stuff in there. Are you going to tub it, or just leave it? If you go with a tub, you should be able to find a big ass tire to fit in there with some good back spacing on the rims.

I'm  not as worried  about the rear as much as i am the front. I think i found some 560-15 bias ply with a 26in dia. And a 2.75 ww for the front. that way it wont raise front up further then it is now. Then I'll do some more lowering  to the front  later, The back will be probably be H78-15,  28 in dia with a 3 or 4.5 in ww. Just got to get the smoothies w/trimmins picked out. Front will have 4in tread, back will be 6 tucked  inside  wheelwell. "AAR,AAR,AAARRRR,OOYEA"(Tim Allen )

Going to put it in storage for the winter. (Very limited room in shop ) this is what I'm working towards.  Win start back on it as soon as the winter weather breaks. We're calling it "The ratmaro"  8)

LOL, global warming.......last winter we had 3 shots of -20*f weather. That didn't count for the wind, which brought the temps down to -40*f. 2 of those cold snaps shut down the refinery and we spent days in the below zero weather thawing out units....
