I have a door for the driver side of my 66 f100 it is from a custom cab and has the molding where my other side does not.....just want opinions if I should leave it or pull it off and weld up the holes....the doors will have a logo painted on them below where the molding goes
-
Leave Drivers side "custom" and the other side plain Jane 8) Just to see if anyone notices it :o
-
I'd remove the trim and weld the holes closed. It won't take long and you'll have two identical doors. If you put copper behind the holes, weld slowly and keep the metal cool, there will be no warpage and no bondo required.

Lowboy that was what I was thinking the big chrome strip will probably have to go.....but it would match beter without either
-
Lol, that's a wild idea leaving the chrome and seeing if people notice. If anything, I would take it off down the road and weld the holes closed.

Here's how it is right now I think the chrome strip will come off when I get a chance to weld it custom cab may stay and I have an extra custom cab emblem I may put on other side
