Title: 302 engine pulleys and brackets.
Post by: AnimalChin5 on June 04, 2013, 01:58:38 PM
I have a 84 mustang 302 in my 52 Ford.  It has the serpentine belt
With ac compressor, power steering pump and smog pump. I am wanting
to remove all of that and just run alternator and v-belt. Any ideas on
Where to get water pump, and crank pulley to fit. Thanks .

So are you trying to go to the old school V belts instead of the bigger serp belt setup?

Go with an electric water pump maybe?

You don't have to run a v-belt. You can just run a shorter belt. Not knowing which way your water pump turns is the only question. So if the back of your belt is laying on the pulley, you need to make sure you keep the back of the belt on there and keep the same rotation.
