I was trying to think of something a little outside the box (as most Rat rods are anyway) and it occurred to me, I don't remember seeing any "Rat Rod" hearses. I've seen plenty of customized hot rod hearses, but not Rattys. After a little bit of searching, it has become apparent it doesn't really fit the "low budget" criteria, but sure would be cool as hell! If anyone has any pics of one they've seen post up, I'd be very interesting. Thanks.

I seen one around here. An early 60's Caddy. It wasn't really ratty I guess but was not spit shined either. The guy had move the driver seat to the back of the hearse and ran a long steering shaft to the rear. So he drove it from the rear of the hearse. Like I said it was different. Never got any pics since I was at the guys shop with no camera and I always forget I have one on my iphone.

There's a '51 Packard Hearse on eBay... looks freakin SWEET! There's a really cool accent light on the side that would be very cool on any Rat project. The problem for me is it's in Colorado, and I'm in Pa. If anyone is looking, I'd love to see this thing as a Rat.

A Packard would be a cool looking hearse. I will have to check it out. Would be too far for me to since I am in Indiana.
