Dawsonville, Ga. home of Bill Elliot and the birthplace of NASCAR. We had 600+ cars in our show and 136 1940 Fords in their own show. The 40 Ford was the prefered car of the moonshine runners with the big powerful flatheads that would blow the doors off the local law.

Whats all that bright shiny stuff in the picture? It hurts my eyes.

yeah there is a lot of shining out there but they love rust at the show too. We will allow any car in. We are a club of a mix of everyone. And we share our advice with each other and evryone is happy...no club politics.

They have a NASCAR history museum in Dawsonville. On Saturday morning they cranked up and paraded the thirty cars they have in the museum. My buddy and I are standing there looking at the cars and looked up and there was Bobby Allison and David Pearson drinking coffee and getting in a couple of the cars....It was AWESOME
