Fuel Tank info... Any "Tips" before I got out and buy one?
« on: March 03, 2014, 08:51:29 PM »
My Model A is being built and I have come to the point where I need to get a gas tank so I can fit it in somewhere.

I have a few ideas in my head about what it needs to accomplish...

It has to have a low feed line, a return line, baffles, approx 30 Gallons + or - some, Ability to hold Diesel, mounting system (Rubber Mounts)....

Some nice to haves would be a internal pump, and a gauge....

I like the look of the square tanks, and I plan on mounting it behind my axle. The Dana 36 I have has a fairly square back side that I think will accommodate the square tank well.

Exhaust routing will not be an issue as I intend on using a straight stack up over the cab.

Any input or recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

30 gallons would put you 10 to15 gallons more than most of the rides, may want to shrink it a little, maybe 20?
