What Insurance Company do you use to insure your Rat Rod ?
« on: June 16, 2014, 06:25:07 PM »
I am trying to insure my Rat Rod, and my insurance company said they would not insure it as a Rat Rod. They wanted to insure it as a regular Truck at 60.00 a month.
They told me that I really needed to look around and we should be able to find someone who would insure it.
I had a friend tell me to call up hagerty and see what they will do. I went to their site and put it in as a 46 Ford, which is what it's titled as, but it does not have much in the way of anything Ford on it.
The online quote was 286.00 for the year. I put that it would be just driven every once in awhile and to car shows and cruises.

So not to keep rambling..  Who do you guys and gals use for your insurance company on your Rat Rod ?

Thank you for your help.

I guess the real test of an insurance company isn't how cheap their rates are, but how readily they pay when you have a claim.   :'(
